I’ve always been an artist who paints for the vibe. For me, it’s about capturing those deep emotions that words can't always reach. Every piece has a story, and this one started when I saw the news about the Artemis II mission.

​The courage it takes to reach the farthest side of the moon is inspiring enough, but the real spark for me was hearing the commander name a lunar crater after his late wife. It made me realize that love doesn't just stop at the moon. It goes even deeper. It reaches the farthest side and follows you all the way back.

​I spent two days lost in this painting because I felt this story deserved to be told. Even though I don’t know the crew, I put myself in the shoes of the families waiting at home. I felt that mix of being so proud of them, but also just wanting them to return safe.

​In the middle of that dark, vast space, I painted a guardian figure to watch over the whole ship. Whether she is an angel or a loved one on Earth looking up and waiting, she is there as a light for the entire crew. This is my tribute to that feeling. It’s a reminder that no matter how far we travel into the unknown, we are never truly alone.
